Industrial Deafness Gets a Higher Profile!

The Association of British Insurers warned recently that claimant lawyers and claims management companies are now moving further into the Industrial Deafness sector. This move apparently follows the 2013 reduction of fixed legal costs for settling personal injury claim.

Hard on the heels of this announcement came the report from Insurance Times that ‘Deafness claims increase almost five-fold over four years’ http://bit.ly/1zUrebX

This is hardly surprising as when I’m involved with training generally one in five people in the room reports that they have tinnitus of have lost their hearing either in industry or during military service.

As hearing is a key sense it’s only common sense to look after it and keep your profile low!
